How can it help you?
Massage helps release chronic muscular tension improves circulation and increases flexibility. It can help you reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue and improve posture.
Stress
Massage is one of the best known antidotes for stress. Reducing stress gives you more energy, improves your outlook on life and in the process reduces your likelihood of injury and illness.
Painful or Tight Muscles
Massage can relieve many types of muscle tightness, from a short-term muscle cramp to a habitually clenched jaw or tight shoulders. Massage acts directly on your muscles with stretching and kneading motions.
Injuries
Massage can help heal injuries such as tendinitis that develop over time, as well as ligament sprains or muscle strains caused by an accident. Massage reduces inflammation by increasing circulation, which removes waste products and brings nutrition to injured cells.
Pain or Restriction in Joints
Besides releasing tight muscles that restrict joint movement, massage works directly on your joints to improve circulation, stimulate production of natural lubrication and relieve pain from conditions such as osteoarthritis.
Posture
Massage releases restrictions in joints, muscles and their tough connective tissue coverings, freeing your body to return to a more natural posture.

Swedish Massage

Neuromuscular Massage
Neuromuscular massage enhances the function of joints and muscles and increases blood flow. It also improves movement and releases endorphins, the body’s own natural pain killers. Neuromuscular massage applies concentrated pressure on trigger points of pain.
Reflexology Massage
Reflexology is compression foot massage that can affect any body system or specific area of the body, increase circulation, reawaken the nervous system and alleviate pain and tension.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage is a form of bodywork that involves the use of smooth heated stones applied to the body or used as a massage tool in various ways to bring about relief of stiff and sore muscles.
Pregnancy Massage (after first trimester only)
Pregnancy massage relaxes tense muscles, eases sore spots, improves circulation and mobility and just makes you feel good. It is also tailored specifically to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies.
What to expect from a massage
What type of clothing do I wear?
Most massage and bodywork techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed being fully draped; however, you may decide what amount of clothing you prefer to wear for your own comfort. You may also request the technique of your massage.
What parts of my body will be massaged?
Typical full body sessions include work on your back, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck and shoulders.
What will the massage feel like?
It depends on the technique used. Your session will start with broad, flowing strokes that will help calm your nervous system and relax exterior muscle tension. As your body becomes relaxed, pressure will gradually be increased to relax specific areas and relieve muscle tension.
What should I do during the massage session?
Give the therapist feedback on his/her effectiveness, make yourself comfortable and relax.
Are there medical conditions that make massage inadvisable?
It is very important that you inform the practitioner of any health problems or any medications you are taking. If you are under a doctor’s care, it is strongly advised that you receive doctor’s approval before scheduling a session.
How will I feel after the massage?
Most people feel very relaxed and often experience freedom from long term aches and pains. People often feel increased energy and heightened awareness.
What should I do after the massage?
Since toxins are released from soft tissues during a massage, it is recommended that you drink plenty of water following your massage.
